natural convection heat transfer of a nanofluid in a baffle L-Shaped cavity

Authors

Abstract

In this article, free convection heat transfer nanofluids water-alumina in enclosure L-shaped BAFFLED has been investigated. Vertical walls left at warm temperatures and constant horizontal intermediate walls Th and Tc is constant cold temperature. Other walls are well insulated. Baffles at 〖 T〗_c and puts them in a container lot of impact on flow behavior. And could disrupt the current order. The governing equations finite volume method and the SIMPLE algorithm simultaneously solved. The results show: AR increased heat transfer is also increased. By increasing the aspect ratio, nanofluids have a greater impact on increasing the heat transfer. During the baffle increases the heat transfer is increased. To increase as the baffle, nanofluids have less impact on the cooling chamber. The effect of Righly Number and nanofluid volume fraction are also investigated and discussed. the results show: for all AR the natural heat transfer increases when nanofluid volume fraction is increased.
