Publication Ethics for Reviewers

Fair reviews: Reviewers play a crucial role in the decision-making process of accepting or rejecting articles by assisting the editor-in-chief and the editorial board. They contribute to the enhancement of articles by providing feedback to authors through the submission of revisions.

 

Right of refusal: Refusing and rejecting the request to review an article is necessary in certain circumstances or due to unavoidable reasons. Reviewers who feel insufficiently qualified to judge a scientific article should abstain from the review process.

 

Confidentiality: Reviewers must respect the confidentiality of the evaluation process and should not disclose information related to the article without written permission from the author, except to the editor-in-chief.

 

Impartiality: Reviewers must evaluate articles objectively, impartially, and fairly. They should avoid personal biases in their recommendations and judgments.

 

 

Acknowledgement of Sources: Reviewers are requested to identify and review the sources referenced by the author. Any conclusions or discussions previously presented should be accompanied by proper citations. Additionally, reviewers should inform the editor-in-chief of any similarities or overlaps observed between the submitted work and other articles.

 

Conflict of Interest: Reviewers should not use information or ideas obtained during the evaluation process for personal gain. They should refrain from evaluating articles in which they have a conflict of interest, whether financial, organizational, personal, or any other relationships or connections with companies, institutions, or individuals associated with the articles.
